>>22475471>when it itself could get a Mega at any time. But it doesn't as of now. It might have something that makes it stronger LATER, but as of now it doesn't. So yes, I can use Megas as an argument, in the same fashion that you could've argued that Mewtwo was the strongest in Gen 1. As of current time, Arceus is not the strongest.
>Arceus is pretty much the only one that got a church dedicated to itAnd Rayquaza got an entire lineage of people along with a tower reaching to the sky. Your point?
>that's pretty much the end of the argument there because literally anything can happenBullshit it is.
My overarching point is, there is nothing proving or having shown that Arceus is definitively the strongest pokemon. There's nothing saying it's omnipotent, all powerful or anything outside of it being the creator deity. You can't just assume that, just because a future iteration COULD expand on it, that it does. In that sense I could just as well make the argument that fuckin', Magikarp has hidden potential that allows it to hyper-mega-evolve into a god slaying beast. It COULD happen, yes, but as of now there is nothing stating that it can.
>Lastly you brought up ShintoismThat was in reference to the notion that people mistake it as having Christian roots, when it doesn't. The common argument is that Arceus is the creator god which means it must be all powerful, but that's largely a western viewpoint, on which it's not even based. It's people filling in the blanks with outside sources that's not even relevant to the character in question.
Dex entires, in-game lore or word GF themselves are the only places you can derive facts about these things. Pulling Christianity into it does nothing.
