I re-played FireRed shortly before ORAS was released, but only now that the dust has settled am I getting to the rest of the Sevii Islands, and I find them to be a really satisfying postgame.
I like the approach they take. All the main Pokémon regions are more or less linear, connected areas where you follow routes and venture through caves to get to the next town.
The Sevii Islands on the other hand are more or less isolated, and you can choose where to go, and when, rather freely. Its locations are unspectacular but comfy (the Memorial Pillar and Berry Forest for example), and they're places which you don't have to traverse to get anywhere, but ones which you seek out for their own sake. There's a lot to discover though, little unique places, and secrets to solve some of which affect places on the other islands.
Would anyone else like an entire region styled like this?
