Pokenoob here. Does it make a difference when i decide to not evolve a pokemon? If it does, what exactly is the difference.

Holding off on evolving certain pokemon can get the pokemon to learn moves quicker or even exclusive moves. If you just don't evolve it you can slap an eviolite on it and with some pokemon its actually better than their evo.

Besides learned moves, none really.

Like for stone evolutions you won't get 90% of their movepool if you evolve them too early. Things like shroomish learn spore at level 40something while breloom never learns it, so if you evolve a shroomish into a breloom too early, you won't have a breloom with spore.

That's the only difference really.

-Base stats get improved when you evolve, if you don't your pokémon is generally weaker

+Faster level up
+Some pokémon only learn a certain move when still in their previous form
+Stuff like eviolite Chansey

That's basically that.
4 points equals one stat, only you get all of your distributable points from the beginning and distribute them by either killing Pokemon who excel in that stat(kill zubat to allocate speed, Chansey to allocate HP, etc) or via super training with the minigames

By level 100 it ends up as 63 points to your stats of choice.

Check natures and EV train. I never use the Super Training, I just find whatever pokemon boosts that specific EV. Like fainting a Mareep boosts your Sp.Atk, so you go and find a horde of Mareep and kick their asses until that yellow spike is all the way to its desired point.
