Why does GF keep fucking us? There was zero reason for them to not add customization into ORAS. I'm sick of them coming up with these bullshit excuses for excluding features. Why are they so lazy?
What are the odds that trainer customization could be added as a DLC?

Except development costs, it not causing any loss in sales to disclude, and the fact that people will complain anyway no matter what. All people could talk about was how they didn't like all of the options the male had for clothes in XY. Why go through the effort if it's not even going to be appreciated?
They spend much more time on non-maingame features of ORAS like the entirety of the secret base and mirage spot systems with delta episode and that amazing elite 4 mega rematch and all people can talk about is lack of battle frontier on the heavily improved battle tower Island

At this point I'm surprised they don't just give us a battle simulator so they don't have to take all the bitching about ignoring all the good things

I thought it was a good step into an excellent direction, while customization in XY wasn't perfect it could only be improved upon. Instead it got shafted. With small changes it gave each player a unique look and now we are back to square one in ORAS with two samefag facing off all the time. Out of all the stuff they copy pasted from XY they might have brought over a feature that was at least okayish liked.

And they dressed like this in the original games.

They did it in XY, and ORAS used the same engine. They actually either didn't take the small amount of effort to add it, or they actually went out of their way to take it out.

do you know anything about how games are made

they made a new model for brendan and may. they would have to render the clothes for the new model and all its animations. this takes time and resources. they would also have to design new clothes in the first place to match the region and character aesthetics. you don't just magically make this happen, it all takes time and resources.

You're right, there wasn't any good reason to exclude customization. GF is just a mediocre developer that will remove features and have white knights constantly defend such features being removed.

Sure ORAS had redesigned PCs, but not so over the top they arent recognizable. Putting May in a full dress or Brenden in a baseball cap and a blue jumpsuit more or less would ruin their image

Look, customization was nice, but they wanted to release by Christmas and they made other more important things the priority to get finished in time. That's all it is. I'm sure if they'd had a longer development period we'd have Battle Frontier too, but oh well.
