The dynamics with his mons feels watered down compared to previous seasons, the last time we've had some bonding time was XY38, and everything is just masked by meaningless imagery (holding this other burd in his arm, brofisting this burd) without previous developments.
Relationships with his friends are:

His selflessness isn't brought up directly too often and is mostly used as a plot engine to clash with TR.

That aside, it's not so much the criticisms per say that are being dismissed, but his attacking Ash as a person rather than critiquing the character along with glaringly obvious bias, whereas yours is more neutral and and does not attack the 'person'.

Just realized that Ash vs Ramos will be a shitty gym battle. The gym battle wont even start until like half the episode has already passed because they need to meet up with Ramos first at ranch looking area and talk shit with him for a while. So all we will get is a rushed and short gym battle that will feel like it is over even before it started.
