I always wondered what kind of research Oak does. Does he dissect the pokemon and have guinea pigs or study their behavior from a safe distance?

I so wanted Sycamore to be a little bit villainy in XY, but I was left disappointed.
Juniper was too cheery, Rowan was a grumpy old man and Oak is overrated.
I do really like Birch and Elm though, probably because they are both so fucking useless in the field.
