I used Meganium a few times. Decent at setting light screen/reflect and being a wall, though the pure Grass type and useless abilities doesn't help much.

This thing though I sometimes forget exists at all.

I use chikorita for HGSS nuzlockes, if it survives to be a meganium it's always boss.

I just did a system of obtain old rod in Dewford, fish magikarp/tentacool, put on gts asking for a clamperl and switching games to trade said ready clamperl on GTS. Its a bit tedious but it gets the job done.
