So, yesterday I went back to my Black 2 catridge. Gen 5 was really fun as hell, after playing for so long in gen 6 it feels like an improvement of said gen and not the one before. I have Black and Black 2, so today I bought for 15€ White and White 2, I want to relive the magic and challenge N once again.
Best gen thread gen II is best gen too

I agree, OP. After the shitfest Pearl was I thought I left Pokémon for good (I wasn't that impressed by R/S at the time too), but Black got me back into the series again.
I wish I wasn't too lazy so I could transfer my Black 1 Pokémon to gen VI and replay it.

Some are actually ugly, you're right, but many others are awesome. Also in BW2 you can catch mons from other generations too.

And the story was awesome, best one in the series

Nah, BW had really strange, shit music that didn't fit in with the rest of the franchise.
Perhaps it's because I enjoy melodic music as opposed to the poppy dubstep shit that you listen to

D/P/Pt killed the mood for me and I thought that after HG SS I wasn't going to buy new games, I even ignored BW at first since I thought they were going to be like Gen IV. But then I found Black for a low price, tried it and fuck, 300 hours in one month.

I've always seen pokemon as more of an... open ended game if that makes sense. BW's story was too heavy for me, I just didn't like it as part of a pokemon game.

Can you even recognize music?
I like orchestrations a lot, but in pokémon they are out of place. Look route 113. The new version is awesome, but it really gets boring after some time, while the original was perfect for a route where you want to spend some time collecting ash. Videogame music should be a pleasure to listen even for long playtimes.

Yes, I can. I'm currently studying for my masters in formal music. Although I label pretty much all pleb shit-sounding music as 'dubstep', since it has little to differentiate itself from other pleb music.
