Imagine if there was a new type that was immune to and SE against Fairy. How many Fairies would drop straight into the gutter? Pretty much all of them, since Fairy is only held up by the type being OP. Now imagine being a dragon that doesn't have higher stat totals than the fucking Genies, and the same BST as DARKRAI and DEOXYS.
Fairy didn't need to exist. Dragon was underpowered as it was. The only good dragons had stats equivalent to fucking legendaries.
Garchomp, Dnite, Hydreigon, and Salamence have the same stat total (600) as the following Pokemon:
