Or two years between Crystal and RS?
Or two years between Emerald and DP, and another two years between DP and Platinum (thank goodness for that because of how many problems DP had)?
It was Platinum that started the whole yearly release thing, and even then BW and BW2 at least had about 18 months apart. Game Freak usually does a better job when they move at a slower pace, I wish they'd slow down a bit.
