Then there's the Pokathelon which, as well as being short, requires more frantic "scratching" of the touchscreen than the likes of ranger meaning there's a high chance of damaging it.
Then there's Kanto which was still just a big ball of missed opportunities, you could have rediscovered old locations and find new ones but instead they have the same old weak leaders, the one fetch quest and two or three Pokemon handouts.
All in all, unless you're a child easily amazed by the simplest of things, there's no reason for HG/SS to be praised as much as they are.
