Nothing directly. But it would be good if you just want to wallbust through it without fear of will o wisp since you can just eat it and later heal bell with chansey when appropriate.

I'd much rather have M-Lopunny to just heal bell itself though.

Depends on the mon it's facing. Lando-I, Thund-I, Knock Off M-Sableye, and Gengar have adapted to take it on despite being primarily special. It still does its job really well against most special attackers.

They should start unbanning, even the recent Greninja to see how he would play in a meta that accepts the banned ones. There's almost no reason to keep pokemon like Mega Mawile or Aegislash banned after ORAS came. Heck, I'd even try Darkrai since he doesn't look scary this Gen despite all the shit people talk about it.

What does gyarados even do to the genies?

tornadus therian can just hit it once and back off with regenerator just to chip at gyarados since it has no recovery. Either Thundurus would wreck it, and landorus-T would just intimidate you, u-turn in your face or try stone miss.

None of those sound very favorable.

Landorus-T can't even do shit to me after I get even a single Dragon Dance, or even face my Gyarados as a lead. They all fell to Waterfall one way or the other.

As for the other genies, I haven't seen them since they're less relevant in the meta.

prankster thundurus is somewhat common to carry twave, specifically to stop a sweeper that will wreck their team.

If it's a sub DD mega gyarados or a regular lum berry version it's no big deal though.
