It's very safe if you're not retarded about using it. Like, when it says don't remove the cart from the USB attachment. Plus it automatically backs up after every time you use pwoersaves so even if you do brick your cart, you can just restore the save file.
Basically, just don't be an idiot and pull the cart out when it says "DON'T REMOVE THE CART WHILE LOADING."
