Is there any way to beat this bitch in the opening section of a contest? It's a pretty big handicap.

Apparently you can max out every single one of your stats and you'll beat her.

But if you have a mega it's pretty easy to beat her in the second round.

I know that you could max your stats, but I didn't think the stats outside the relavent one for the contest mattered. Does having a mega actually do anytjing for your results? I've used them for a couple of contests, but I have noticed any significant differences.

the two points of the star which are adjacent to the one you are currently doing also give a contest boost

cool gives a beauty boost and beauty gives a coolness boost

this is only in the opening section

Just max out your stats. You don't even need a scarf, I once forgot to give my Drifblim a scarf and it still won the introduction round anyway.

Lots of people don't realize that. I remember Serebii reported at one point that Alteria was impossible to beat in the appeal round because he didn't.

Each contest/category has its own scarf. Yellow, blue, green... Go with the headmaster of the pokemon club and he'll give them to you if you show a maxed out pokeblock fed pokemon.

If you didn't know, you can look at the other Pokémon moves. Keep going for the same contest. Usually you'll get the same Pokémon and you'll figure out their move set. I only won because I knew what that gorebyss was gonna use and I played with a sylveon.
