As I said in the thread that was deleetd: no, but wi-fi general has got an IRC channel on rizon, #wfg. Unfortunately it's pretty inactive because all these kids with their newfangled emssengers rather make Skype groups on Microsoft's ad-ridden client.

Wi-Fi is pretty much a shithole and pretty much have a tight knit meme group. I'm talking about just talking to new people who have similar interests in Pokemon. Most boards allow a Skype thread once a month or so to talk to people. I'm just wondering.

As someone who is in there, it's really not worth being in. It's mostly a League of Legends chat.

As far as ircs go, there aren't any major ones.
/gg/, /gtsg/ and /wfg/ all have them but they're either dead or shit. Showderp has a room on Showdown (to be honest this would be the best option for /vp/ as a whole) but that isn't open to newfags.

We all hopped into a /vp/ irc to discuss the VGC (both US nats and world) finals, but it was only temporary.
