Dexnav thread

Currently chaining for a shiny ralts because i like shiny gallade. On a chain of 180 with no luck as of yet. Previously caught shiny poochyena and shuppet with little effort finding them.

What are you chaining, /vp/?

FYI: DexNav chains don't heighten the chance of a shiny with a higher chain; it's at a constant.

what do you mean? don't they work like pokeradar and chain fishing, i.e. they cap out at 1/200 after a chain of 40?

Chaining Absol right now at 37. Only shiny I got through the Dexnav so far was Eevee, and that was at around 124. Chaining can suck.

but on a bad note, i bred 500 absols to get a shiny without remembering to use a foreign pokemon

did you guys know that chaining dexnav doesn't increase the shiny chance with consecutive chains? every pokemon you encounter with dexnav has the same (albeit increased) shiny rate. Don't get so butthurt when you get 200 in a row with no shiny. You could get 300 and the chance would be no higher than your first.
