Skarmory is just ineffective in this meta. With Heatran, Magnezone, Manectric and Charizard running around, it just doesn't stand a chance. It's flying type so it gets crippled by rocks switching in more than a steel type should, and its poor offenses and movepool make it a shitmon overall.

Dusknoir on the other hand is an amazing Pokemon on any team. With the meta highly physical at the moment, it can cripple any and all opposing switchins and burn them before they even have a chance to fight back. Unlike Skarmory, Dusknoir possessed actual offensive presence. As a result, it can deal massive coverage damage with elemental punches. It also has priority in shadow sneak, which Skarmory doesn't. Ghost is an amazing typing, and Gengar and Sableye have proven this. You get super effective STAB on Mega Metagross too.

TL;DR: Don't use Shitmory. Use my bro Bronoir.

Heatran can effectively handle Heatran and Magnezone. Charizard a shit. Manectric gets killed by anything it doesn't resist. It takes neutral from stealth rocks, and even learns fucking defog. And what part of defensive pokemon is supposed to be offensive? Brave Bird is all it needs to do damage, even so it is meant to whirlwind spam/defog/rocks.

Meanwhile Dusknoir nothing notable in the current meta (bug and poison, wow!). Has no solid form of recovery. Only niche is being a ghost type so it can spin block and wil-o-wisping psychical attackers. Has god awful HP. Shadow sneak is kinda good, I'll give you that at least. Gengar is good for its utility and sableye only benefits from ghost typing because of its dark type.

Pretty much. Even though he loses some HP from not evolving. Speed drops don't matter much considering it has shadow sneak, and it kinda compliments pain split.

being a physical attacker and your best physical stab move is base 60 (but night shades better)
Will-o-wisp destiny bond trick room and trick
Decent ability for stalling

both have flaws just Dusknoir has alot more

Dusknoir needs so much to be good
more Hp ,Shadow claw, Recover,different ability that it could utilise and a dark typing
but it doesn't stop him being the cooler looking ghost types

I know this is bait, but I can't help it.

Dusknoir's best STAB is Shadow Punch, Skarmory's is Brave Bird, which is twice as powerful. Dusknoir has no recovery moves, Skarmory has Roost. Dusknoir is weak to Knock Off, Skarmory isn't. Dusknoir can't support the team outside of the common Will O Wisp, Skarmory has Stealth Rock, Spikes, Defog, Taunt and Whirlwind.

I don't think it's a fair comparison. Firstly, Dusknoir has no realiable recovery outside rest, and secondly, they perform different roles. Skarmory walls physical and sets up hazards while Dusknoir is more of a support wall that can disrupt the opposing team with status and disable and spinblock. So in short: apples and oranges bro.
