>>22579375If any of these is a deal breaker for you, then I wouldn't get the game OP.
If you just enjoy the story and catching pokemon and exploring the regions, then you'll still have fun with it like I did.
I do wish there was character customization but since it's a remake it's obvious why they didn't (though I don't see why different colored clothes couldn't have at least been an option..Or a different bag. Always hated May's buttbag.)
It's fun but it's not a great remake in my opinion. Delta Episode is cool though for the lore if you like that.
But dear god. I read about the handholding on here before I got the game and I thought they were joking. I didn't have to really work on training my team at all and I have a bad habit carried over from childhood of skipping as many trainers along the routes as I can and going back to them if I need to level up (I don't know why I do it. It's not like I dislike battling. I just always have).
It's a ridiculously easy game though and I really hope they either 1. Give us difficulty options in the future if they're going to nerf everything (something you can't change once it's set and then divide the online modes into those difficulty setting groups or something;) or make it an actual challenge in the future.
I don't know if it's just because the demographic in japan is mostly children while in america it seems to mostly be nostalgic teens and young adults but damn it was way too easy.
This is from someone who doesn't bother with IV training, egg moves, breeding for good pokemon and competitive play. I play the game for myself and enjoy the adventures with my favourites, and it was wicked easy. I didn't even balance my team well. Until I needed surf, drive and waterfall I didn't have a water type at all.
Anyway my favourite pokemon is Gengar
