Predict the year in which people who dislike Fairies and Megas will generally get over it.

It's inevitable; no one still complains so much about the addition of Dark and Steel-types.

Because Dark and Steel types actually brought good balance

Fairy type is still cancer, until Steel and Poison are better offensively, they still suck ass

Exactly. People are getting on Game Freak for trying to make the absolute two worst offensive types better offensively. How dare them.

To even things out, they removed some of Steel's resistances.

Poison is a good type too.
The real problem is that poison types are too slow/frail to be dangerous.
Only Crobat, Tentacruel, Beedrill and Gengar are fast, and they're all great.

On the other hand Fairy type needs to be redone.

Maybe Game Freak shouldn't suck so much at making them better. Want to improve Poison and Steel? Give those types better moves and Pokemon. Not just one measely type to be good against.

Yeah, Mewtwo was entirely centralising in gen 1. That's why they had to add a counter to it in gen 2.
Dragon may have been overpowered, but at least it gave ice a reason to exist, and if they were seriously trying to balance it this gen they wouldn't have added Mega Salamence and Mega Rayquaza.
