They KNEW it was inefficient they just liked playing by the rules, then you had people jumping on them for it and insulting them for no reason. It was inevitable that they would retaliate by questioning the fairness of it and in all honesty, it was justifiable by the chances of getting a 5IV mon then especially if it was a legendary or a HA mon.
Anyway, what exactly is wrong with letting people think they're playing legit? They've most likely gotten many a hackmon over the years but never bothered to check them or they appear as legit. Letting them stay in blissful ignorance is better than a ton of shitposting, which is most likely going to start up again in the morning.
