Because it was a Gen 4 gimmick thought up to try and keep the Regis relevant, but backfired because they forgot about the new kids who didn't have the Hoenn games. So they had to fucking DISTRIBUTE it so that the kids could catch the Regis in Platinum and be able to catch ANOTHER, LEVEL ONE Regigigas. It was ridiculous. So they slapped a cryptic way to unlock it onto ORAS and called it a day.

It was nothing to do with being rushed. The whole purpose of those portals was that the legendaries you encounter were being pulled from their original regions. They didn't use the 8 bit version for Suicune/Entei/Raikou because they were lazy, they would've just used the HGSS version if that were true.

They actually used the HGSS GB sounds version for them, which was different from the original 8bit theme. I'm not sure if they even HAVE the Gen 2 soundfont anymore.

I wish Zoroark had legendary-tier stats, even 550 BST would be good enough for me, maybe just a bit more speed and offenses. Lucario's fine as it is though, especially with a mega and all.

That's what the form of music is. The soundfont refers to the sound types that are used to CREATE the chiptune.
Though, I admit I should have specified "I don't even think they have the Gen 2 songs in their original 8-bit soundfont anymore".

I think Power-Up Punch is a decent new option for Regigigas. It was also pretty lucky to get Drain Punch. I think all it really needs is Bulk Up and/or Rest or something to become a real monster. Its stats just aren't as intimidating as they used to be. You really can't use Regigigas without building a team around it these days, sadly...
