That was the best generation.
- introduced abilities
- introduced natures
- reformed the IV and EV system

The only thing that lacked was a day/night cycle (which, in my opinion, should have never been removed) and a physical/special split. If it had those 2 things, it would've been the ultimate generation.

The odd thing about gen 3 is I have the most memories about how the routes were laid out and where the trainers were, more than any other generation, and I didn't really get level 100s or anything when I first played it.
