So hear me out - instead, they make a brand-new game set in Kanto for 2016, as an homage to the old games but without the shackles of being a remake - like Black and White 2 but further into the future. Volcanion is in Cinnabar's Volcanic peak, Saffron and Celadon are both sprawling, vibrant cities, the Dex is updated to accomodate for every single non-Legendary Pokemon you can find in Kanto in HGSS (national dex included).
