>>22599705I have an idea similar to this. Basically you begin in a very large city constructed north of the familiar Kanto region (Canvas City possibly?). You are Ethan (Gold, whatever)'s son or daughter. Your father has become desensitized to the gym leaders of Kanto and Johto building the region into a more industrialized region in the influence of Unova and Kalos. He moved away to this formerly small mountain town before the Kanto/Johto crew made it into a large city.
Essentially, he has tasked you with exploring Kanto/Johto after he hears of some "trouble" brewing in the region and rumors of his old rival Silver re-starting Team Rocket as a means of tearing down this new regime and succeeding where his father had failed.
As you enter Kanto "proper" (a route 49 and 50 as well as a miniature cave that can be explored later in-depth called Kanto's Gate are added above Pewter City), Blue appears and challenges you to a battle using one of his pokemon. Your stater choices would be the RBG starters and
Pikachu and Eevee and he fights with the counter or the othe of the two in the spoiler tag :^). From there you explore the new, densely populated Kanto, try to stop Rocket, fight the
twenty gyms of Kanto and Johto, and teach your father and Silver that change may not be so bad after all.
Also, there would be some canonical reason for there to be a huge mix of Pokemon from all regions present in Kanto and Johto, as well as multiple new cities and places to explore (Sevii Islands maybe as well)
