I'm not quite sure, I've never done it with a romhack with modified pokemon stats but Audino should be fine since it is unaffected. Maractus for example would probably get flagged due to having it's bst total modified by the romhack, or maybe it's bst would be reverted I'm not sure.

But essentially pokegen only works with flashcart. You modify a save ion the flashcart load it up then trade to a legit game. It can go through the poketransfer as long as it passes the legality checker.

Got wiped on a Y nuzlocke by Lysandre's mienshao and pyroar not too long ago. I play with the "no items while in battle" rule and of course set battle style. I've started a Black run this week and four badges in I've lost a FUCKTON of Pokemon. Thank god for audino grinding.

FUCK, I just closed my emulator on accident when tabbing between it and photoshop and I haven't saved in the last two hours or so. I have a log with natures, levels and names but I'm going to have to randomize ivs and pokegen and THEN retrain my pokemon which is gonna suck SO MUCH.

Alright I am at the 2nd gym in my Emerald Randomizer Nuzlocke.
I've tried to make a nice group of back-up pokemon to help me through but they ether waste all my balls trying to catch them or get killed without expecting it. Lucky to have these 4.
Can ask about stats and moves if you want since who knows what they'll have anymore.

Normal: Pidgeotto, Snorlax

The only unique typing I have is Honedge. I'm just hoping Cyllage has something different. Anyone have this problem in their run?

It's a physical attacker with a special typing, so no. It evolves at level 18, which is pretty decent and it'll be decently powerful for a few levels after that, but not for very long.

Even the description of "physical attacker" is sort of stretching it since it only has 90 base attack, not really good enough to even take advantage of non-Dark physical moves (which it barely even learns, it only gets Take Down at level 37)

Gonna try and do more of these rather than everytime I catch a 'mon.

Anyway, I'm in Vermillion City. I skipped a couple routes to save for possible water 'mons later on once I get some decent rods.

Cerulean Rival Fight: Bubblygum was the star of that battle. I'm pretty impressed. She took down all of Rival's 'mons except for Rattata. I switched in Toku my Ivysaur to deal with it.

Misty Fight: Toku was the star, of course. Completely swept the whole gym.

Not too fond of my catches. I can't do much with Orlando the Oddish but I guess he can be an okay backup incase anything happens to Toku.
Mint the Spearow can be a backup for Pierce. Not too bad.
Murphy the Meowth, eh, not the best. But its the only one with a Dark Type move, so I might have to consider him for Sabrina since I have nothing for that fight still.

Hey, so I don't really know where else to post this and it's not important enough for its own thread.
I just bought a pretty decent mic/webcam for skype reasons (just moved half way across the world but I still want to keep in touch with friends), but I figured I could also use it to do some streams or youtube shit with vidya. I've always wanted to do a lets-play or some shit of a nuzlocke, since I love playing them so much. I already even downloaded and tested some programs and everything's solid.

My question is: is it even worth trying to do the whole YouTube/Streaming thing anymore? It feels like everything, especially pokemon nuzlockes got super played out already. Any suggestions on how to keep it interesting? How to stand out perhaps?

I'd watch if they released a comic alongside playing. Or just, some type of documentation (heck, narrative posts in this thread with current team images would do it), so that if I leave the stream for a few hours and come back, I can catch up easily. Also, a comic based off of the chat's dramatization of the events would provide a user-interactive experience above the norm (voting, etc, thought that's a good idea, too).

Very cool idea, I thought of doing something to tie in everything story-wise. Sounds like a neat idea, and I like to do that while I'm just playing by myself.

I didn't start a X/Y nuzlocke yet, but I think Charizard can give you problems, think about sky battles and all those pelipper, emolga and aerodactyl. If you have charizard you can't avoid some of these fights and without another flying/levitate pokemon Charizard would be alone against them.

And that was the last I played that run. The hinge on my DSLite broke and the top screen was all fucked up after it fell from my table so my mom threw it out, but not before taking out my R4 whit SS on it holy shit I'm still so fucking mad about that.

Need some help deciding a mon. Options are Scizor, Hitmontop and the one I'm definitely not picking, Deoxys.

For all I know, all of them could have Splash and Poison Gas for their attacks with Keen Eye, and that Zigzagoon chasing Birch is really a Mewtwo. Types and stats aren't randomized though.

Going to start streaming/making a youtube series of a pokemon nuzlocke run. Couple questions to help me out if you don't mind.
-Which game would be the most entertaining to watch? Note: I have only played up to Gen III so anything past that would be a blind run for me, which would be more fun imo. I also would like a challenge.
-What would make for the best viewing experience? Commentary/no commentary, breaking it up into daily segments for suspense, technical things like that.
I'm already planning on getting the viewers involved, and as stated earlier in the thread I might make a comic series/write something up to accompany the series.

Commentary can be a hit or miss. Too many uhms or ers can be annoying. Maybe at the beginning of each video you could do a drawn 'on the last episode-' sort of thing, where major events are drawn.

I don't understand your question. If you want a program to capture your screen to stream, twitch has it's own tutorial and list of free programs to use. All of which are really basic and take maybe 5 minutes to learn how to operate.

Just arrived at Shalour City.

The run was hard so far, with some clutch moments.

Team:

Axis, the Braxien (lvl 31, Lax nature)
Orion, the Ivysaur (lvl 28, Naive nature)
Kidd, the Hippopotas (lvl 19, Quirky nature)
Rex, the Tyrunt (lvl 24, Adamant nature)

Casualties:

Weevo, the Scatterbug (lvl 3-7) and Dooa, the Weedle (lvl 2), both lost in the battle against a trainer Axew in the beginning of Route 8. I had to sacrifice them. Damn Dragon Rage.

Ocala, the Scraggy (lvl 5 - 26). In the double battle before Reflection Cave. The most painful death, it was my ace mon in this run.

East, the Diggersby (lvl 5-21). Died in the same double battle in which Ocala died.

Sammy, the Wingull (lvl 7-19) and Start, the Solosis (lvl 23-23). Both lost in the goddamn battle against the guy who has a Sawk and a Hawlucha in the Reflection Cave. I really thought I would lose all my teammates.

All my mons have bad natures, so, I'm hoping for some luck in the next catches.

Not much of an update. Since Bubblygum died I had to fix my team around a bit. I had caught Elijah on route 11. I was hoping for a Drowzee but Elijah's doing pretty decent right now.

Since Dakota was the one that brought down Bubblygum, I'm not too fond of her but she's my best shot against Surge right now.

Still training, basically. Murphy (Yeah I know, inb4 Murphy's Law), StarPlatnm, and Dakota especially.

Reasonably doable as long as you take advantage of audinos. Be prepared for Acrobatics to destroy your shit if you don't show respect.

From what I remember from my run awhile back, I end up with 3 dragons and a shiny Audino among my catches.

Blaze Black and Volt White 1 are up there in difficulty, if just for the gym battles being rotation/double/triple battle and having wide move sets. They are doable though.
