3DS? No. But once when I had the old indestructable tank known as the original DS I dropped it, while it was on, into about an inch of rainwater. Thing still worked perfectly after that

Honestly my biggest fear with my 3DS XL is the hinges. Mine isn't as firm as it used to be so it only locks in a couple positions, it just seems to me if something will give on a impact, it'll be the hinges.

Otherwise it's pretty robust, but I take care of it.

Like, 4? I fell asleep in my chair a few times, but thankfully the drop was under 2 feet and landed on carpet. I know it's not much, but I'd panic if it fell further or landed on a hard surface.

Broken hinge killed my DS Lite, so I got a Fisher Price Baby's First Handheld (2DS) instead and never looked back. It's robust as fuck and pretty comfy to hold.

accidentally had one slip out of my hands, bounce off the corner of a counter, and bounce 3 more times before sinking into my toilet bowl. Wouldn't power on and nearly all buttons had a "squish" feel to them, was definitely waterlogged also smelled like shit.

Put it in a bowl of rice, though after reading online about it concluded it probably wouldn't work and bought a replacement one so I could have my christmas vidya.

A few days later I pull it from the rice, dust off the scratches and it works completely perfectly. Now I have a backup 3ds in a drawer because impatience.
