>>22613092DC. Any place that isn't a Mcdonalds or Wendies thinks it's cheeseburgers are some sort of methodically crafted blessing to fatties everywhere, so they charge about $9 per burger (without extra stuff like cheese and mushrooms), $4 for fries and $2.50 per drink.
Welcome to the nation's capitol.
Hell the restaurant I work at charges $90 a plate. This area is expensive.
As far as the time thing goes, there's breeding and gambling for hours to go and play on battle spot which takes x amount of hours, or powersaving and going straight to battling which takes x - the amount of time you would have spent breeding. Additionally the time breeding versus the time enjoying the payoff and battling is pretty disproportionate as well. I spend objectively less time than someone who breeds traditionally, if I feel like I like a shiny more than a regular mon on a whim I can change it, for no reason other than liking the aesthetic more for something that costs me half of what I make on a single table. The effort I put into making that money was negligible, so why not just put down the $15 and save a ton of time.
>>22613126Buying pokemon at all wasn't important, buying the 3ds wasn't important period, going to the movies isn't important, and neither is buying video games. None of our pleasure spending is "important" but people still do these things, and how you divvy up that pleasure spending is only relevant to how much pleasure you get out of it, and frankly the amount of pleasure I've gotten from the rage of people in this thread alone makes the purchase worth it, even if I weren't able to gen perfect competition ready pokemon teams at the drop of a hat.
