That doesn't quite work in this case. When it comes to video games, the more play time you can get out of a game generally = the bette the game = Good money spent.

Except that's not the case for this game at all, any time you spend not breeding because it's horseshit, you spend battling instead, getting not only the same amount of time enjoyment out of the game, but also a higher quality of enjoyment out of the same amount of time, giving you more value to your money.

It's not like people just powersave so they don't have to breed for two hours, and then put down their games and be bored for 2 hours instead.

You can't "cheat" in a competition though.

Also, the outcome (the mon) is the same, why is it bothering you so much?
- both are legit
- both are viable for competition

the only thing's different is the time you have to spend to get them. You can use powersave for 2 hours then doing something else for that day, or you can spend an entire day to train 5-6 pokemon.

Even with PowerSave you have to manually breed to have HA and egg moves, the biggest and most notable advantage is that you only need to breed a few to obtain the 'Mon with HA and egg moves, then set his right IVs and nature, even make it shiny and change his ball.

The bigger advantage is hidden power, Hexaperfect IV spreads like on special attackers, and having hexaperfect legendaries since you can't breed for those.
A smaller advantage is being able to shinfy all your Pokemon so you can run out the clock and win by time.

Japs used to do it in BW because you could have like 3 different shines (N's Pokemon, Shiny, and maxed Pokestar) and the stall game was so fucking strong that GF decided to make megas. While both of your opponent's Pokemon shined three times, the clock would keep going down and it would happen every time they switched or anything at all.

It was sort of uncommon as a strategy since N's Pokemon were mostly awful, but yeah, sometimes niggas would just kill one Pokemon and then damage sponge for 15 minutes

I remember doing this at one point against my friend with a Regenerator Amoongus with Spore/Intimidate core (intimidate also ran down the clock)
Nigga stopped playing Pokemon after that.
Though I could only stack Pokewood and shiny. I tried stacking Pokewood on Intimidate Krookodile to save myself some RNG manipulation, but it only had the Pokewood animation from there.
