I'd love to see them adopt a Killer Instinct model, start with a roster of 9 solid characters, then give us 1 new character every month, maybe 9 per "season"? Gives them a chance to extensively test, balance and build, gives us a chance to learn fighters in-depth (instead of dumping 40 on us at once like smash)
Also it would give them constant revenue, with season passes as a thing.
