Girlfriend and I picked up a Pikachu for Smash. I have Charizard pre-ordered because he's probably my favorite Pokemon.

Mew can be used as a way to get a pentagon Mew as well as whatever other function they decided to use Amiibos for.

Second wave is general popular mons and megas

>Blaziken
>Lucario
>Greninja

I'd also expect them to release ones for the event legends that are a little less common like Mew, Arceus, Meloetta and so on.

I'm thinking it'll be the Pokken fighters, maybe the Kanto starters (first form and final evolution), the most recent starters (Gen 6 if there isn't a Gen 7), Jigglypuff and Greninja obviously, Mewtwo and maybe Mew. That's, like, the first wave I'm thinking. The one where they throw them out to see if people will be Pokemon amiibos.
