>>22642128Well when I am open, usually I earn around 30-60 USD per commission (since it's often single-character images), but it's just barely enough to cover half of the bills (like I said, there's more of us here in the household so we each try to cover certain things to pay for). Despite what our government is trying to present to EU and the rest of the world (to make sure other countries deny amnesty to people that move out of Croatia to look for better jobs elsewhere), we're quite financially fucked over and the country is in huge debt, and as result the costs of living are quite high here.

If you're starting fresh, first try drawing stuff not only that you like, but what you see gets people's attention. Also, try doing requests, people love free shit. Try to get involved in various online communities, get to know people. Once you see the watch count rise (may take a while), start offering commissions.
