Anon you act like megas are the worst of it all.

If anything, it's their lack of not buffing old regular Pokemon outside of Mega Evolutions now, and not introducing counters to most incredibly powerful Pokemon.

I probably should have elaborated, I mean less megas with more focus on buffing them without +100 BST and crazy abilities, along with mainly defensive buffs, let's face it the meta is like hthis because everything is OFFENSE with little defensive buffs

I was mainly talking about pokemon pre-Gen VI. Kalos Pokemon, with the exception of getting $$$ from movie tickets, cannot recieve Mega Evolutions yet, remember?

Also, Unova Starter HAs, though are a step in the right direction, were released just weeks ago, so they hardly invalidate the problem that has gone on since the beginning of Gen VI.

Though just reiterating, I'm not agreeing with OP on retconning megas, but I do agree with OP that offensive power creep needs to be balanced somehow.

It's not that bad once the shit is filtered out. The problem is that the powercreep was fucking massive so it took a few bans before everything settled down and even still it makes gen V's powercreep look tame.
