Some type...

I wish it was better but, honestly, it's probably the worst type for a pokemon to actually be. It's bad enough that the moves have shitty accuracy, but then actually being a rock type is the shit cherry on top of the shit cake.

think again, kid. rock types reallllly rock and we can tear you outta this world. Shitpost about all our weaknesses, but we have the best stregnths. stone edge all of those talonflames, rock slide all day erry day in doubles, heck, the only moves with 100% accuracy are power gem and smack down.

you know why? it's because this type is for true gentlemen, who don't want to be overpowered. we can take your abuse and retaliate hard. don't underestimate rock types.

Ice is the best offensive type in the game, bug has useful resistances and grass shines in combination with several other types. Rock is just shit no matter what it's on.

My favorite Rock-type is the OG, right here. A Sturdy Weakness Policy set with Automize (get fucked, Low Kick), EdgeQuake (Slide for Doubles) and Sucker Punch (thanks Gen IV) works wonders. Thunder/Fire Punch is a good option for surprising Waters/Grasses respectively but the power kind of disappoints, making KO chances rare unless the WP activates.

I know Rhyperior and Carracosta may pull it off better (Rhyperior almost entirely outclasses and has Solid Rock with only 5 less base Speed for Rock Polishing, Carracosta can Shell Smash/Aqua Jet with Sturdy) but I'm too big a fan of the earth turtle, dang it. And Sucker Punch is a fair niche, I just wish it was VGC viable.

I like Rhyperior, too!

I like using Rhyperior to complete the triumvirate of kaijumons Nidoking and Aggron (I know there's also Nidoqueen and Tyranitar, Hydreigon are also kaijus but they look stylistically different).
