Lucario and Pikachu have been in more games than Greninja, yet they're still here. Why? Because they're popular and would make lots of people happy with their inclusion; way more than those who'd be upset. The needs of the many overcome the needs of the few.
In fact, as long as we get lots of different fighting styles to keep it fresh, i don't particularly care much about what pokemon get in. After all, there's always DLC or something. I only hope they don't add gimmicky, unfitting crap like Voltorb: Stuff that may sound funny in concept, but terrible in execution.
And plus, it's pretty much implied that Greninja won't be in because they gave King Furfag a ninja-like moveset, so there goes one fighting style.
