A dolphin and possibly a wolf pokemon that's either ice or dark, (both would be a problem but hey they made weavile work).

Maybe some mammal fossils, dunno how rock would work into it though.

the rock type is not visible on fossils. They are rock because fossils are not bone, but rock.

yeah, just a x4 weakness to fighting would cause some issues but it could work if they make it strong with a good ability like most pokemon with a x4 weakness.

Probably true for some but It's really unknown why some others are rock-type, but maybe GF could touch more on that with the next fossil pokemon.

Eevee is a fox-cat-dog
Swanna, Stoutland, Tyrantrum look too much like their real life counterparts for my taste.
I'd like to see a squirrel-cat thing like Mew and Pachirisu.
Also, more monsters like Electivire, Abomasnow, Exploud, Grimer.
Bring back the beer gut (Zard, Lugia, Hydreigon etc)
More kaiju (Aggron, Nidoking etc)
