I've seen some Yzard/Venusaur leads pull off the Pledge pretty well. Too bad its super obvious and easy to stop thanks to Charizard's Rock problem.

I'd actually rather propose "Primal" variants for Sand and Hail instead with the boosts in the OP and give them to Mega Tyranitar and Abomasnow.

Fairies still suffer from not being thematically fleshed out so no one can really be certain about what moves could be Fairy type and their type matchups and such.

Not all of the typing has some theme or old adage to them. Ice needs something to offer defensively. And being resistant to fairy and ground would fix the fact that being Ice type is shit for anything other than STAB ice beam.

Fairy makes so little sense in general that it's not even funny.
It's painfully obvious that its match ups are only made so that Fairy would be as anti-meta as possible without any logical meaning behind them.

The only one I can think of an explanation for is Steel -SE-> Fairy but that's it.

Ehhh, I'd argue that because fairy type moves tend to focus on trickery, illusion, light, and other mental tactics(Baby-doll eyes, charm, sweet kiss) that psychic should resist fairy, being mental focused enough to block out those distractions, and ditch that senseless offensive weakness to fire, because I'm seriously not seeing where that has any basis.

Plus psychic could use a buff, it's in pretty shitty shape right now.

Every generation there has only be 2 ice types tops in OU. And most of them are closyter only because of shell smash + skill link and Kyurem because his stats, movepool, and dragon typing make up for it.

To be Psychic is a burden. To be Ice type is to want death.......

Both types have a thing in common that lots of mons use their moves for coverage but are not actually that specific type to avoid the awful typing.

I think I flubbed my words there. I meant to say that Ice is the worst. I think that Rock is second worse because it's weak to weak to most of the common attacking types (Water, Fighting, Ground).

Grass is pretty poor but it at least resists Water and Ground which makes it decent on a defensive standpoint.

Gen 5 was our time to shine. Volcarona and Genesect dominated OU for a time (Genesect even hit and has remained Ubers).

Gen 6 was okay too, though - we got Mega Heracross, Pinsir and Scizor who are all pretty great, Scolipede dethroned Ninjask as best Baton Passer, then ORAS came and we got Mega Beedrill, too.

Gen 5 was THE bug gen. In return, Gen6 brought 3 more moves with horrible distribution, 1 new pokemon and a few megas.

basically they're both 'fighters' so they match up evenly. but tokus are somewhat supernatural, so ghosts only resist instead of being immune.

same reason bug is strong against dark or 'evil' type.
