>Platinum
A very complete Pokemon experience set in sinnoh one of the nicest and most diverse regions with a great topography and layout. Also features the great NorthEast island that features a lot of great post game elements.
>HGSS
This game was really well thought out. The menu and all the navigation aspects were really fluid. One of the best story lines in all of Pokemon, exploring kanto and johto was extremely fun. Also included many of platinums features from the post game.

Nostalgia is why this game is one of my favs. Enjoyable story, interesting idea with the guild and all. You really feel like you are part of a team on an adventure and explore the world. Ending gets me sad too.
