Well, here we go again. Another nuzlocke run in Pokémon Y. Here are the stips.

1) Standard catch rule + dupes clause
2) Standard death rule
3) One item per Pokémon per battle
4) No exp share
5) Pic related are not allowed to be caught. Keep it diverse.

Going to start with Chespin and nickname alphabetically. Dubs decides which letter I start on.

X/Y is so easy for Nuzlocke. Even without items, (broken share exp) The gyms and trainers, and flare aren't that difficult. In mine I only lost my hawlucha(pancha) to a crit crabhammer when i got careless against crawdaunt. Only Diantha and Lysandre were really any trouble.

Just cross your fingers for a axew in the zubat roost (30% chance) or a bagon(5%) on route 8, you'll have a great late game team. And anything on route 10 makes is amazing.

I've never had that problem from Storm Silver. Blaze Black/Volt White 1/2 are pretty good and difficult. If you want a crazy ass one that is extremely hard, do Bullshit Platinum, an improved Flawless Platinum.

Blind nuzlockes is suffering. Everyone gets crits, has surprise super effective moves and every fucking Ice Beam has frozen my pokemon so far. Also my riolu evolved after getting poisoned, what a great steel type.

MVP of the run so far is Hoya, the realest mother fucker in Tunod. Hopefully there's a way to evolve them at some point.

Pokemon Glazed, an Emerald hack. It's a nasty piece of work for nuzlocking so far, with suicidal pineco, gym leaders with mulitple super potions, substitute/leftovers users and a bit of a shit to find good spots to grind.

My prize for getting my little tick killed was a bold eevee. At least I have a nice spot to grind and get money from for the moment now that I know to psybeam the fuck out of that last trainer.

Hoya was killed in the new snow area by a Draco Meteor Froslass, what the hell. Got a few areas to go try my luck on new catches now. Wattle just smacked another frolass with Draco Meteor out with Iron Tail.

Ice gym was... anticlimatic. Swept the trainers and even had a rival fight with Wattle not breaking a sweat, didn't bother healing before stomping the leader. Had a quick scare at her weavile having Low Kick though.

Random note - Lucario has a delcatty cry since the creator didn't replace any sounds.

New areas gave me more useless pelipper first encounters and a shit load of dragon run ins immediately afterward. Managed to snag an axew from the Safari Zone where I smooshed another rival character. There's a guy with a quilava and a chick with a chikorita (now a meganium), and some kid of the skank with the Outrage Kingdra. Also the kid of the leader of the Team of the game I think? Lots of recurring kids to beat up.

I'm now lost somewhere and I THINK I'm going in the right direction?

Do not use Amie, it ruined my playthrough.
The benefits are just too good, my elite four/champion battles essentially had me dodging moves, surviving attacks that would otherwise faint me, etc, it was retarded.
I highly recommend ignoring the feature completely in a nuzlocke.

This was a highly surprising run. Found lots of new bros that I never thought I would use. Had unexpected deaths that hit the team extremely hard. Towards the end, the team was small, but it hit hard, and they took out Grimsly at the cost of Liza and Blurgh. Then Shauntal wrecked the what was left. I have no members remaining. I don't take gift pokemon, so I'm going to fish a Luvdisc out of Shalour City to have a pokemon to surf on.

I'm going to level Pidgey to evolve it to Pidgeot, grind to 38 so it learns wing attack, and use Bunnelby as heal bait.

Is this run salvageable?

It was like something out of a movie, the way it played out. When he had to face May afterwards, he beat her, but I don't know what he used, though I think using only Kyogre would be fair. But he says that his entire team survived because they got healed at the end of the League, so I don't know if that's fair game. I don't know what he used in the battle either, and I would hate to kill his buzz by telling him he screwed up.

Pokemon Glazed, an Emerald hack. Play with dupes clause on if you want a whole dragon team but ho boy there's a lot of easy early dragons. There's also a lot of protect/detect/endure spammers.

Slowly rebuilding after that trainwreck. It's been dicey with all the dragon/ice/faeries about. The Johto Safari Zone has 12 separate areas but all I managed to get was a hoppip and sentret. I did have a magneton but it got Fire Blasted in a surprise double battle by a magmortar.

i dunno, it kinda depends on a lot of stuff, like how many options you have, how strong the legendary actually is, and so on. like i used an entei in my colosseum nuzlocke and it basically just an average fire type. like boxart legendaries are pretty bullshit, but i'd say most anything else is fair game.

Togetic isn't that bad it's a strong defender and despite not having any resistances excepting ghost. It's only weak against rocks and lightning. Johto's e4 aren't that high levelled.

well, they could have done some arbitrary bullshit to make it so you can't get them until after the national dex, like rearranging the movepool so that they learn the moves at level 1, and then put shit like the daycare and move relearner in the post game. or just put the fucking stones in the main storyline. point is they took a weird middle road and it's confusing.
