I would add an option in the PSS settings to change the backgrounds only the player can see. While your opponent would also use his/her own background that wouldn’t be seen by the player. As for the Nature Power issue, it can easily be fixed by showing what background your opponent is going to use in team preview. So a competent battler would be aware of what move a Nature Power user is going to use without dealing with a clusterfuck of confusion. Problem solved.
>who the fuck is using nature powerIf backgrounds were changeable and it effected Nature Power, Im pretty sure lots of special Grass types, or special attackers with shit for coverage (Typlosion,Florges,etc.) would be using this move pretty often. Expect a Nature Power Xerneas in a desert or beach background. Cause Moonblast+Earth Power form NP would really complement it’s coverage.
