>>22685327In Colosseum I started out with a Modest Espeon, which, as a result, was my MVP for much. It 2HKOed anything which didn't resist Psychic. Hitmontop was great for Intimidate, and for providing Fighting coverage to help out Espeon.
Later on, the trio was completed by Stantler. It's always been one of my favourites since Gen 2, but here in Colosseum it actually got an opportunity to shine with Intimidate, Hypnosis to put Shadow Pokémon to sleep, and mixed coverage in STAB Takedown and Thunder.
In XD, my bros were my brave Flareon, which reliably balked hits (I kept Growl on it for that purpose), secured kills with Quick Attack, and otherwise provided Fire and Dark coverage. There was a female Roselia who, if her Magic Leaf and Giga Drain weren't strong enough to 2HKO a foe (which they usually did) used Leech Seed to stall, and a Mawile who was my main catcher with Sing and False Swipe. After Intimidate and one or two Iron Defenses she could just sit there and tank any Shadow Pokémon hits until it stayed in the ball.
A late addition was Salamence. When I ran the calcs I discovered it had great IVs, so I might keep using it in battle facilities.
