I loved the battle music in X/Y, and all the towns and routes.
Exceptions: Gym leader. E4, Champion.
I think X/Y looked great for how big it is. Decent exploration and a good engine teszt. It was a bit too easy but also comfy to play on the road.
I liked that they tried to have more interesting characters. Tried. Maybe next gen?
I liked that there are no wasted slots in the 70 new pok'emon. And I'm okay with having less new pok'emon in favor of megas. It's better than Gen 2, where we only got 100 new pokemon and 50% was useless dex filler shit.
I liked ORAS. They gave me a nice nostalgia trip while managing to keep it somewhat fres. Again, way too easy but it was nice to breeze through. The little things like Sharpedo going sanic using surf were neat. The new fy mechanics work like a dream. Soaring is fucking fun. Exploration got more fun imo. Catching them all seems easier with dexav, showing you if you've found all mons yet or not.
I like the redesigns of Team Aqua and magma. They gave the characters much more personality, and the music was absolutely based for Archie/Maxie. Less powerful, but much more memorable somehow.
The Delta episode wasn't that great. Go from place to place to find frenchfag crazy MILF. She had great music though. Shame the music of X/Y could have been more like this in gyns/e4/champion.
All and all I really enjoyed these games and I' ve spend hundreds of hours in both. Worth my 40 bucks more than most other 3DS titles.
