Anyway, as to WHY Lando-T has this usage:
-It's the only good pivot
-People suck at team building
-It has no risk in using it
-There's a bajillion boosting sweepers and sanic physical threats that it checks.
The last point is important. Lando-T did not have this usage at the end of XY, and absolutely nothing changed about it in ORAS except that it has more things to check.
