Subjective as fuck, I personally think gen V had the worst new pokémon. (If we do not count Mega Evolutions as gen VI pokémon that is).

This is the generation that started to limit GLs to three pokémon and E4s to four. Besides the formula for experience in gen V made you level up quite a bit faster than in previous games unless in extreme cases when beating level 20 mons with level 80's or something.

What I mean by that Murikka, is that it generally feels like they did a damn good job capturing America's Diversity and the region felt pretty damn americanized. It was kind of neat. Football stadiums, pop idols, big cities that are crowded, and people are even dressed how americans dress.

So the AI was amped, that's one thing.

Everything else was absolutely shit though. It's still steamroll worthy due to movesets not being any harder and only one Pokemon at the most being added.
