Mega Blastoise is the best you will ever get and that's not saying much. Charizard gets the most attention because a fire breathing dragon is objectively more appealing to 10 year olds than my mom's turtle.

I really hope we get a Brawl dlc pack for WiiU with Squirtle and ivysaur as independent characters. Make Squirtle's DownB Iron Defense effectively copying Kirby's Rock form. Make Ivysaur's DownB Leech Seed copying Robin's Nosferatu. Use hydro cannon and frenzy plant as final smashes and we're good to go

It's more that Blastoise's main weapons are in it's shell.
It wouldn't make sense for it to get attack boosts from removing them.

You're not removing the cannons. If anything you're increasing their range of movement.

Either way Blastoise either needs a way to boost speed so it can sweep or a decent recovery so it can stall. It just has no role right now unless you have follow me support in doubles

For the most part, Blastoise has been the most consistently usable Kanto starter. It's pretty rare for a Charizard or Venusaur to even be playable.

It would be somewhat better, but not as good as it needs to be. It honestly either needs a boost that includes Speed like Shell Smash or reliable recovery.

Having Ice Beam be a little stronger would help a little, just because more power is more power, but it would far from fix things.

I agree that mega launcher should boost Flash Cannon. I always thought it was weird in Gen4 when they were adding the move relearned moves to 3rd evolution starters that they gave Blastoise Flash Cannon
