At least they addressed the issue, rather than ignoring it for the whole series. If they're going to keep it unevolved, I'd rather they gave at least some reason, even if it's a shitty one.

It wasn't that interesting. They pulled the same shit at least twice already. Grotle's character development was more interesting because it was actually him dealing with his new body instead of "waaah I don't want to evolve because reasons and I need to market my cutemon status more ;_;"

Maybe it would be different if the whole "unevolved pokemon can be strong too" shit was true.
