If you have Hidden Power Dittos, it's only slightly worse than normal breeding. If not, give in and just edit it.

I ended up checking all of my in-game team for Hidden Power type and found my Camerupt had Hidden Power Ice, so I used that.
It really isn't worth it to breed just to beat the game, just spam whatever STAB attacks you have that aren't resisted.

The best is to have a 6 IV Ditto (and standard Ditto for every nature), breed without destiny know and check for the 30 in the right IV.

Nah, I've done all that.

Now I'm breeding for good Hidden Powers on special attackers like Gothitelle and Serperior, and I'm just wondering I should go for it or just 5IV them all and somehow compensate for the lack of good Hidden Power
