>>22701338Why not, indeed!
>>22701352Is "Unown power" a move? If so, it looks to me like it means one of two things:
- Unown can now have several different moves. It is problematic, because until now Unown's concept was having only one move.
- Unown still has only one move, but this move is now Unown power instead of Hidden power. It is problematic too, because Unown and Hidden power were intimately tied.
You could solve these issues by adding to Unown an ability increasing the power of Hidden power and making it ignore weaknesses and immunities. But then, you would have to choose one of the two following points:
- Unown doesn't have any new defensive feature. This is highly problematic, as Unown as 48 base HP, Def, and Sp. Def, which is extremely low, and only 48 base Speed too, which means it will almost always be one-shot even before attacking.
- The ability increasing HP power and making it ignore resistances and immunities ALSO does what you described in your picture. This is an interesting solution, but it means that you finally choose a solution extremely similar to the one tou named a clusterfuck.
So your solution is "New ability increasing the power of HP, letting it bypass resistances and immunities, and giving immunities to Ghost and Dark"; while mine was "New ability letting HP hit several times with several different types, and giving immunities to these types". To me, these solutions look extremely close from each other.
