>>22710809Add Mandibuzz. It's my favorite Pokemon to use competitively.
First, look at these base stats:
HP: 110
DEF: 105
SDEF: 95
That's some solid bulk!
Added bonus:
SPE: 80
That's pretty fast for a defensive Pokemon.
How do you run it?
MOVE ONE: Foul Play
-Excellent offensive option with STAB
MOVE TWO: Roost
-Necessary recovery
MOVES THREE AND FOUR:
Take your pick, they're all great.
-Defog (if your team needs hazard control)
-Taunt (to fuck up other, slower walls, or switch-ins)
-Knock Off (Mandibuzz causes lots of switches, you can ruin someone's set with this)
-Whirlwind (if you need a phaser. Excellent option because of the bulk)
-Toxic (my least favorite option, but it wears things down)
What nature / EV spreads?
Depends if you're running Knock Off or not.
With Knock Off, I recommend Impish (+Def -SpA). 248 HP to get dat odd number. Split defensive EVs to suit your needs. Run 31 Attack IV to maximize Knock Off damage.
Without Knock Off, gotta go Bold (+Def -Atk). Make sure to have 0 for your Attack IV to minimize opposing Foul Play / Confusion damage.
HOW TO PLAY?
Awesome Utility Pokemon. Can switch into many things and scare them out. Wrecks physical Pokemon. Can phase sweepers. Can remove hazards. Can Toxic stall. Can do massive damage to physical Pokemon. Has versatile 110/105/95 bulk, so it's not horrible on either side even if you focus your EVs just on the physical side.
PRO-TIP:
Don't let Mandibuzz get burned. Foul Play damage will be halved. I know this is weird, because it's calculated with your opponent's Attack stat and stages, but a burn on Mandibuzz halves the damage.
