Lead with something that has potential to go scarf and OHKO it with Ice move, like Keldeo. Even if you don't have the scarf, it's a good bluff and it'll likely bail out. Alternatively lead with whatever bulky special or support mon that can easily take hits. 99% of the time it's going to U-turn out anyway.

I'm writing this all assuming it's running choice scarf, because not making this safe assumption is a straight road to getting rekd.

The games where you can catch Sableye during the main game are Sapphire, X and Y, and Alpha Sapphire. You could also easily trade for one in Omega Ruby.

Gliscor if he isn't running hp ice, stalling out Stone Edge's low PP.

Without boosted Stone Edge, Skarmory and Bronzong can check Landorus (as long as he doesn't have hammer arm).

Hippowdon takes anything besides boosted Earthquake and Grass Knot and can help set you up for a kill on him.

Beyond that, just use some people that can out-priority him to wear him down.

Get rocks up and punish the U-turns, or use Leech Seed if it stays in. Lando can't do its job safely thanks to all of the residual damage. Chesnaught works for this too.

if you absolutely want to guarantee a landorus won't get any momentum first turn, then scarf kyurem B with ice beam is all you got, but it's obvious and they can just pivot out to something kyurems limited movepool can't handle to force you out, and then it's worthless anyways except for a late game outrage cleanup when their fairies are gone.

So for the inevitable return you need either rocky helmet defog skarmory, or rocky ferro for maximum hurting at the cost of "muh rocks"

I'm a mid ladder shitter and this is the only viable way i've ever found to deal with the fucking lion. I really wish garchomp learned icebeam, he'd be great for a counter lead against it if only.

I really hate how people act like weavile doesn't exist. Takes care of lati@s, mew, jirachi, heatran, celebi, all of the genies, bisharp, starmie, espeon, serperior, gengar, plenty of other things I'm forgetting, and 2hkos everything else. I mean yeah, it has low defense (and decent spec deffense), but god damn, It's among the fastest of pokemon, and has 120 base attack. Knock off, Ice punch, low kick, ice shard works wonders.

Lando can't necessarily be countered due to U-turn. Rely on your sense of predicting when it comes in. Ice Punch and Fang are actually really handy if you come in with a mon that looks like it packs earthquake. I suggest you utilize it as a counter to a monster weak to earthquake. Your opponent will switch out in hopes of resisting the earthquake and you go for the ice attack instead. Now, this won't work all the time however..

I lead with Gyarados, so he gets Intimidated back, and no amount of u-turns or rocks will kill it while I Dragon Dance and kill it before it switches with Waterfall.

landorus-t, according to the latest 1825 ou stats, has 4 sets, choice scarf (most popular by far), defensive (13% less usage), earth plate and focus sash each with 2% usage. having 2 sets (scarf and earth plate) which play just about the same, one that sets up rocks and blows up makes it very easy to kill. it has a little bit of rotom-w syndrome, that is that it is counted on to check so many threats it gets worn down pretty easily, even more so than rotom-w because it doesnt have any kind of recovery outside rest and lefties. basically, you wear it down with strong physical attackers, status if you can catch it with one, or residual damage with ferrothorn or garchomp and stealth rock.

That sounds like a problem if they have ferrothorn or skarmory, maybe some other stuff too.

If that's the case I'd say landorus did it's job and got it's way anyways, which is my problem with lando-T to begin with.

It's a pokemon that can almost always get it's way, whether that's just an intimidate+u-turn spam and or sneaky pebbles knock off hassle.

He's the perfect skirmisher, but can also hit really fucking hard if he wants to.
