I'll bite.
It's the music that plays when RQQ descends from the butthole in the clouds in Emerald to scold Groudon and Wailord.
The shitty part about it is that it plays more than one time, killing the mood. In Emerald it would only play once and it was perfect.
I also miss the crumbling tile puzzles, they could have crammed them both in. Like, the first 3 floors are like the Emerald Sky Pillar but Δ shaped, and the rest being as it is now (you meet Zinnia at the 4th floor and the "plot" resumes).
Still, we got an entire sidequest that had elements of Emerald without being copypasted at all. That is to be appreciated.

I never liked the skt pillay guys, the puzzle was way too hard and caused hand cramping, it doesnt help when theres an OP as f*ck legendary at the top

Why does Gamefreak never actually improve a region whenever they're remaking it? HGSS' level balance was ass and quite a few things about Hoenn were downgraded.

The non-breakable floor. Emerald has only 2 breakable tiles to get to Rayquaza, and they're close to each other.

ORAS New Mauville, Mt. Pyre, and Sky Pillar were so disappointing.

New Mauville was cut down from an actual sidequest/dungeon to a mere two rooms with no obstacles; Mt. Pyre is just a few halls of graves rather than a climb to the top with secrets if you fall down certain holes; and Sky Pillar has been rid of the actually challenging biking puzzles.

I think those (and Granite Cave) are the tipping point where I consider ORAS to be underwhelming remakes. Cutting content from the original games is just inexcusable.

Oh, and to make New Mauville worse: in the original, you had to go in there to stop the power generator from overheating or something, which would have caused considerably damage and a total blackout, so the mission felt actually important. In ORAS, Wattson merely detects some unusual readings, has you go down there to press a few buttons, and afterwards says that it was a false alarm and everything was fine.

That's cool. Difference is that unlike Emerald you aren't forced to come back to catch the legendary seeing that you are supposed to get both on your first time.

The level balance was more an issue with players who like to experiment with various mons or evolve/fill their dex as they played through the main game.

Those who tore through the game with whatever team they caught in the early part of the game usually didn't even need to grind.

It's still a game design issue since it forces you to play a certain way if you don't want to lose hours grinding but it's really not the worst thing in the world.

Because Emerald has two versions of the same dungeon, one of which is a tricky puzzle/reaction challenge.
ORAS has just one, which consists solely of climbing ladders.
